I have always admired the writing profession. Its rich, long history is evident in ancient and modern classics. And it’s a present-day craft represented in many vocations and academic disciplines.
My journey as a student of the craft consisted of uncertainty, apprehension, mystery, curiosity, and delight. I value, in hindsight, the early struggles of my writing voyage, using various writing instruments, including the number two pencil, a Bic or Papermate pen, a Sharp typewriter, and an IBM computer, alongside my pocket dictionary and pocket thesaurus. I nostalgically prize these tools for aiding in the transposition of my thoughts on paper.
