A New Used Toy and Favorites Genres of a Performing Hobbyist

Daily writing prompt
What is your favorite genre of music?

Why gift myself a used classical guitar that features a solid cedar top with laminate rosewood for its back and sides, characteristics commonly found in acoustics under a grand?

For one, it’s remarkably well-made by a small, reputable instrument maker in Bulgaria. It also performs like an instrument well beyond its price tag. Many guitarists would be enamored playing this six-string.

While I’m content with being a hobbyist rather than a professional performer, I enjoy showcasing a few pieces from the classical guitar repertoire, along with favorites from the genres of smooth jazz, American standards, Bossa Nova, and pop classics.
